This monograph by Steidl-Verlag is the first comprehensive overview of the photographic work of Bernhard Prinz. At the center of his work is the portrait, which he often juxtaposes with sculptural arrangements in early groups of works. He contrasts the mass medium of photography with metaphors and allegories, examines forms of stylization, and uses the medium to play a complex game with meanings.
